Crystal manufacturing began in Colle Val d’Elsa as early as 1820, aided by the area's wooded terrain and rushing waters; it became a defining local characteristic and fostered generations of master glassblowers and engravers.
Duccio di Segna began operations in 1984, when Vasco Conti poured his decades of experience in domestic and international crystal production into this venture. His profound knowledge of the industry—spanning forty years—has enabled Duccio di Segna to become one of the most important names in Italian crystal manufacturing today.
All our products are made from the purest crystal, which acquires its true value when our master glassmakers—working with the material at a temperature of 1,150°C—shape it into objects that are unique in both beauty and quality.
To achieve such an extensive product range, our master glassmakers employ a wide variety of artisanal and semi-artisanal techniques on a daily basis, combining them with the essential ingredient: genuine passion.
This passion is indispensable for ensuring that every item leaving our factory is a true Duccio di Segna piece—unique and inimitable, whatever the object may be.
