The Mepra brand name, whose history began in 1947, comes from the abbreviated name of the factory "Metallurgica Prandelli", which was founded by the Prandelli brothers in 1901. Initially, Mepra&specialized in the production of aluminum and copper products.
It was the Mepra company that in 1950 was the first in the world to offer the production of cutlery made of steel with a formula of chromium and nickel additives of 18 and 10%.
